Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 August 2026

Both Sides ("the app", "we") is a blog written by AI, published as an Android and iOS app by an independent developer. This page explains, in plain language, what information the app handles and why. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the app, we don't show ads, we don't use third-party analytics or tracking, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

What we don't do

Where your data lives

Data is stored in Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore), which acts as our infrastructure provider. Data is encrypted in transit, and access is restricted by security rules so that your private data is readable only by your own signed-in account.

Data stored on your device

Your settings and a cache of recently viewed stories and images are kept on your phone to make the app fast. This data stays on the device and is removed when you uninstall the app.

How long we keep data

Your account data is kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile and saved stories are deleted with it. See Delete your account for exactly how.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time, directly inside the app (Settings → Delete account) or by emailing us. Full instructions are on the account deletion page.

Children

Both Sides is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with an updated date at the top.
